Some students may qualify for no-cost or low-cost local, state or federally sponsored health insurance programs.

Student Athletes must maintain a GPA of 2.0 and passing 20 credits to be "Eligible" to participate.
Academic Waivers for High School Students with a GPA below 2.0, may be eligible for an Academic Waiver.

An approved Academic Eligibility Waiver Request provides a student whose GPA falls below the 2.0 GPA required for athletic eligibility good for up to one grading period not to exceed a semester at length. The student must have met the Academic Eligibility Requirements of the previous grading period to request an Academic Waiver*

The student must continue to meet the eligibility requirements during the probation period to remain eligible in the following grading period. The next academic eligibility GPA check will occur after the first progress report. *Allowed per CIF bylaw 205 B(2) and WUSD board approved if the student has met the requirements.
