PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Changes are afoot!  As many of you may know, we are going through more changes in teaching staff.

I know this can be hard on the students with routines, expectations, communication, etc.  However we are working diligently to maintain the processes and program's integrity by holding new staff to previously set schedules and routines, until they get to know the students and staff and can slowly make changes as they see fit for their individual classrooms.

We continue to hold to the standard of providing continuity through the grades within the NCC program so students are hearing the same language and have the same expectations throughout -of course with modifications to meet the needs of the students at their respective grade levels.

With the growth of the NCC program at the preschool and elementary level, we will be adding an additional class, dividing the K-2 to Tk/K and 1st and 2nd.

Fortunately, Marcel Hetu, our long term substitute will remain in the K-2 class for the rest of this school year.

Preschool teacher, Jarett Lloyd, will remain in his current classroom, but will teach the new Tk/K class and the 1st -2nd class will be located in room 32 for the 20/21 school year.  We are in search of a teacher for this class as well as the BES, WMS, and WHS locations.

I'd like to say thank you to Andrea Labeaud, Sarah Andersen, and Chandra Van Winkel for the work and support for our students that they have provided in their time being with us and wish them well on their new adventures!  Thank you!  You have made a difference in the lives of the students and families you serve and we are grateful for you!

We have begun the process for interviewing new teachers and as we begin the hiring process, you will be informed.  There is intention that we will hold limited introductory meetings with new teachers so families may be able to meet the teacher prior to the start of the new school year.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding.  There is a countywide teacher shortage and we are doing our best to find staff who are loving and dedicated to teaching.

Thank you, Vicki
