Wow, what a week this has been. I am hoping this email finds you all safe and well, if somewhat anxious due to the Walbridge Fire.
I just wanted to reach out and provide some clarification regarding the ramifications of delaying the start of school by one day (from August 17th, 2020 to August 18th, 2020), due to the power outage created by the storm over the weekend. We already have days built into this year's calendar for emergencies such as this (the week after spring break has three emergency days). We will now be using one of those days as a makeup day where students will be required to be present (March 31st, 2021). We will send more information on how this works nearer that time, when we know how many of those emergency days we will be utilizing.

Vaya, qué semana ha sido esta. Espero que este correo electrónico los encuentre a todos a salvo y bien, aunque algo ansiosos debido al incendio de Walbridge.
Solo quería extender la mano y proporcionar una aclaración sobre las ramificaciones de retrasar el inicio de clases un día (del 17 de agosto de 2020 al 18 de agosto de 2020), debido al corte de energía creado por la tormenta durante el fin de semana. Ya tenemos días integrados en el calendario de este año para emergencias como esta (la semana después de las vacaciones de primavera tiene tres días de emergencia). Ahora usaremos uno de esos días como día de recuperación en el que los estudiantes deberán estar presentes (31 de marzo de 2021). Enviaremos más información sobre cómo funciona esto más cerca a ese momento, cuando sepamos cuántos de esos días de emergencia utilizaremos.
