Why Windsor?

The beautiful, award-winning Windsor High School campus provides carefully designed modern infrastructure that creates an optimal learning environment for every kind of student. Expansive science facilities, one-to-one technology, for all students, a performing arts center, a 7-12 culinary arts program, a state-of-the-art two-story digital media building, and a fabrication and welding center that  provide the ideal learning environment for students of diverse interests. WHS was recently recognized as a 2021-2022 California Exemplary Arts Program, the state. For schools to qualify for this prestigious award, schools must offer sequenced instruction to all students in a minimum of three of the five arts disciplines identified in the Arts Standards: Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. At WHS, every student has the opportunity to take an arts class, a rare opportunity, indeed.

No matter whether you are interested in our diverse academics, award-winning arts programs or our championship-level athletics programs, Windsor High School has something for everyone.

Our core system provides a unique curriculum and small learning communities that makes a large high school feel small by fostering interests and developing relationships unlike any other high school. WHS believes in building intentional relationships and community and offers WHS Student Circle Keepers Class that is a training course for 9th-12th grades to create campus and community student leaders. In addition, WHS proudly offers a robust sports program, with over 40 teams with opportunities in fall, winter and spring. Our top-tier sports teams include a Football Division Title and our teams have qualified for playoffs in 10 other sports categories. Our award-winning teams bring the entire community together!

If your dream is to be college-bound, we have the programs and advisors to get you there, with an outstanding 59% of our graduates moving on to college. If your interests lie elsewhere, we have one of the most robust career technical education programs (CTE) in Sonoma County, including our award winning Vineyard Academy School of Hospitality and NUEVA School for Performing Arts. Our CTE opportunities include Digital Media Arts, Performance Arts, BUILDing and Construction, STEM, and more.

We could tell you more about our school, but it’s probably best coming from our students. Kids like Jaelynn Pinero whose leadership and work ethic have earned her a spot on the list of “22 to Watch in 2022.” Or check out our YouTube channel to see content created by, for, and about our amazing students.

Whoever you are, whatever you want to be, Windsor High School can help you get there. Come be a Jaguar, and learn what it means to say “Once a Jaguar, Always a Jaguar.”
