Dear WUSD community,
It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that long-time WUSD employee Carmen Ramos, most recently the WMS Bilingual Liaison, has passed away. She was surrounded by her loving family and in good care for a peaceful end of life.
Carmen has truly been a District treasure and was known by many for her humor and kindness. She started in the District over eight years ago, working as a Para at NCC, WMS, Windsor Creek, Village Charter, and Brooks. She then became the Bilingual Liaison at WHS in 2015 and WMS in the Fall of 2021. She was the vision of caring and compassion and put in many extra hours to assure our Spanish-speaking families were served well. Carmen often stepped up to help when other sites needed interpretation services.
Her family has asked that we share funeral arrangements and invite any and all who wish to attend.
The closed casket memorial visitation will be at Daniels Chapel of the Roses Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, March 21st from 4-8 p.m. at 1225 Sonoma Ave. in Santa Rosa.
The mass and funeral will take place the next day, Tuesday, March 22nd at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 8400 Old Redwood Hwy. in Windsor. Then burial after church will take place at Santa Rosa Memorial Park Shiloh Annex, 1750 Shiloh Rd. in Windsor.

Es con gran pesar que compartimos con ustedes que Carmen Ramos, empleada de WUSD desde hace mucho tiempo, más recientemente Enlace Comunitario Bilingüe de WMS, falleció. Estaba rodeada de su amada familia y bien cuidada para un final de vida en paz.
Carmen ha sido verdaderamente un tesoro del Distrito y muchos la conocían por su humor y amabilidad. Comenzó en el Distrito hace más de ocho años, trabajando como Paraeducadora en NCC, WMS, Windsor Creek, Village Charter y Brooks. Luego se convirtió en Enlace Comunitario Bilingüe en WHS en 2015 y WMS en el otoño de 2021.
