Coaching staff for WHS basketball finalized, Kramer returning to WHS basketball
PRESS RELEASE
Windsor, California —The Windsor Unified School District is pleased to announce the coaching line-up for its basketball team for the 2022-23 season. Current coaches Adam Lewis and Dante Mendoza will continue with the varsity team, with longtime WHS basketball coach Steve Kramer returning to the Windsor High School basketball program after a 10-year hiatus. Kramer led the Jaguars basketball program from 1998 through 2012, and worked in a support capacity until 2018 and is now returning to support the program again this season. In all he has 20 years of high school coaching experience.
New to the coaching lineup will be Brandon Eibert, JV boys, and Brendale Carter, Freshmen. Current coach Paul Holland will be stepping down ahead of the 2022-23 season.
“Steve Kramer is an institution in Jaguar basketball,” said WHS principal Brian Williams. “We’re thrilled to have him back to support our students and our program.”
Though Kramer had stepped away as the basketball coach, he has continued to be a Physical Education teacher at Windsor High School, focusing on fostering a lifelong interest in activities, personal fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
“Steve has never stopped being a part of our Windsor family, and it’s great for him to be back in our basketball program. We can’t wait for the season,” said WUSD Superintendent Jeremy Decker.
